Overview

Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1195, by Usloz. The establishment of Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg's construction back out of the project. Usloz pushed on reguardles, and Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of restrictive baked earthen streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city is defended by arcane means. It's hard to spot at first, but there's a tell tell shimmer in the air arround Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg, and you can spot the ocasional warding glyph carved into a rock or tree all arround town. These mystical defences are ancient, unknowable, and unassailable by current means... Assuming everything is in working order. Otherwise, the wards are little more than a deathtrap. Unfortuantly, these Relic of the World That Was are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. Beneath this surface, the people of Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Slæ̈rn Ghocï-fesg places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.
